He did ask us how our food was. Stating that he was just checking because "my manager is the one cooking tonight." Hummm, sounds like am insult to me.
The food and service was Great and didn't take anytime getting our food. Wanted a great cup of coffee. Wow...it was sooo strong couldnt hardly drink it. And it was freezing in the restaurant.
Great service. The place was full but I got my breakfast quick and done right. The coffee was hot and fresh. The waitress was very nice wonderful service ☺
Food was good. The waiter Samuel came to our table once and that was ro bring us our bill. Amanda , not our waitress, sat us, got our drinks ,took our order, brought our drinks, brought us our food, and corrected our order. Samuel walked around in the back ignoring all of the customers and kept making excuses. No refills on our drinks. All glasses stayed empty for 10 minutes. When we left, there was a line backed up out in the hall. He should not have that job and Amanda should have a raise for doing the job of 2 servers.
We walked out of this location. Our racist waiter Sam felt the need to make a comment about a city that we were talking about (St Louis) and said "That city is nothing but a hood. You know why, don't you? It's a black city, run by black people. Just like New Orleans. " We lost our appetite and left. Only good thing is when we spoke to the manager about it, he actually seemed to take the issue seriously.
Every time we stop here we have in mind the Denny's of old with terrific, fresh, hot food made up well. And... every time, for years, what we actually get is disappointment. Today, at nearly Noon, on a cold day: no soup. The lemons were old, really old as in brown. The produce truck "hasn't come yet." Jamie was nice but these are all management problems and, not surprisingly there was no manager in sight, as usual. Denny's has lost what it once was and it doesn't seem like it will get it back. This is the last time we will ever stop at any Denny's.
